Smart Lock Battery Pain Points
Smart locks are core home security devices with extremely high battery reliability requirements. Traditional alkaline batteries have three major problems in lock scenarios: leakage corroding circuit boards, voltage drop causing lock failure, and frequent battery changes affecting user experience.
Leakage is particularly serious. After 6-12 months of use, alkaline battery electrolyte may seep out, corroding lock mainboards and motor contacts, causing lock damage. A smart lock worth hundreds of yuan could be ruined by a few yuan worth of leaking batteries.
1.5V Lithium Battery Solution
Constant voltage output: 1.5V lithium batteries maintain stable output around 1.5V from full charge to depletion, preventing sudden lock failure due to voltage drop. Lock motors and mainboards always operate within designed voltage range.
No-leak design: Lithium batteries use sealed structure with no electrolyte leakage risk, protecting lock circuit boards for long-term safety.
Long cycle life: 1000+ charge cycles, calculated at 10 door openings daily, can be used 3-5 years. Even with frequent daily use, no need for frequent battery changes.
Selection Recommendations
Recommended models: AA 1.5V lithium battery 2775mWh or 3100mWh tier. 2775mWh suits normal household use, 12-18 months runtime; 3100mWh suits high-frequency scenarios (apartments, offices), 18-24 months runtime.
Charging method: Recommend USB-C direct charge version, battery has built-in charging port, no need to remove battery, charge lock directly with charging cable for more convenient use.
